Microsoft Application Virtualization

Application virtualization is a technology in which user applications are located outside the resources of the operating system of their personal computers.

Each user application is launched and executed in an isolated, autonomous virtual environment on the client computer. Applications are separated from each other, which eliminates possible conflicts, but applications can still interact with the client computer.

Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) solves the following tasks:

Quick user access to new applications.

• The application is installed and configured only 1 time on the server and after that it becomes available to all users. Similarly, the application can be deleted from user PCs

Instant update

• When using application virtualization technology using Microsoft Application Virtualization, the application itself is updated once on the server, and all employees will automatically receive the required update.

Prompt change of parameters.

• The necessary configuration changes, similar to updates, are made once on the server, and users continue to use the application with already changed parameters.

No conflicts for incompatible applications

• Since the applications launched using App-V technology are separated from the resources of the operating system, the conflict between them is completely excluded. As an example: you can simultaneously run different versions of the same application 1C version 7 and 1C version 8.

Launch Rights Management

• App-V allows you to create launch permissions for each application for each individual user. This increases the level of protection of corporate data and reduces the risk of potential threats to business.
