More about Customer

Brookes Moscow is an international private full-time attendance school in Moscow that opened its doors in September, 2019. The school is the Russian branch of Brookes Education Group, a global network that includes five active academic campuses located all around the world: in South Korea, Canada, the United Kingdom, USA, India.

The Brookes school is located in a new LIFE district and serves as an innovative educational center equipped with all necessary things for comfortable study and athletic development of pupils: spacious bright classrooms, scientific laboratories, robot engineering and 3D technologies rooms, computer classrooms and libraries, two indoor swimming pools, a martial arts hall, a dance studio, a gymnasium, basketball courts, track fields, etc.

Challenge

Modern digital technologies are an integral part of the educational process in Brookes: computer equipment, interactive whiteboards, videowalls, tablets, projectors, as well as equipment in laboratories and other rooms — everything depends on efficient and uninterrupted operation of the network infrastructure.

LWCOM was invited to establish a reliable and high-performance network, since the company has extensive experience in similar works and a high level of technical expertise.

Solution

When working on the project of the school network infrastructure establishment, LWCOM specialists performed:

1
Design of a school campus network infrastructure
2
Development of high- and low-level solution design
3
Equipment supply, its introduction, and start-up and commissioning
4
A series of post-project tests to check the correspondence of implemented solution parameters to the customer’s requirements

Project Equipment

The network architecture was based on Cisco equipment:

  • The local network core is arranged using high-performance Cisco Catalyst 3850 switches
  • The access level is implemented based on Cisco Catalyst 2960 switches
  • Network boundary protection is made through Cisco FirePower firewalls
  • The Wi-Fi network inside the school building is provided with Cisco Aironet 1850 and 3800 access points
  • The weatherproof Cisco Aironet 1560 access points are installed outdoors
  • The wireless network is managed with a Cisco Wireless LAN Controller 5520

Result

Project execution, starting from specialists’ visit to the site and ending with turnover documentation delivery, took less than 6 months.

As a result, the customer obtained a high-performance reliable network infrastructure and a secured Internet connection
