Deliver the highest levels of performance with Wi-Fi 6E – greater capacity, wider channels, and less interference – in a compact, cost-effective form factor.

Greater capacity with 6 GHz

The HPE Aruba Networking 610 Series extends all the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 to the 6 GHz band: speed, more 80/160 MHz channels, and less interference to support high-definition video and more clients.

Cost-effective and compact

For enterprises who needed more wireless capacity and/or wider channels, the HPE Aruba Networking 610 Series features two radios that can be tuned to any two of the three available spectrum bands for cost-effective connectivity in a compact form factor. The 610 Series provides tri-band coverage when deployed in a multi-AP environment.

Greater capacity with 6 GHz

Wi-Fi 6E extends support to the 6 GHz band based on the 802.11ax standard. 802.11ax provides greater efficiency and higher levels of guest and password security with orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA), Enhanced Open, and WPA3. The 610 Series APs also offer client optimization, automated radio frequency management, and intelligent power monitoring.

Highly efficient and secure

HPE Aruba Networking 610 Series APs act as an IoT transport platform without the need to deploy or manage overlay gateways. The APs include integrated Bluetooth Low Energy 5 (BLE) and 802.15.4/Zigbee radios plus dynamic segmentation for added security making it easier to deploy and manage.

Features

Ideal for branch and small campus environments, HPE Aruba Networking 610 Series Wi-Fi 6E APs offer fast, secure connectivity.

6 GHz support

Maximum combined 3.6 Gbps data rate for higher throughput and faster speeds indoors (when using 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands).

Configurable dual radios

Support for any two of three Wi-Fi 6E bands (2.4, 5, and 6 GHz) and can provide full Wi-Fi 6E coverage in a multi-AP environment.

Low power, compact form factor

Compact form with 802.3af, class 3 power and the ability to enable/disable capabilities based on available POE.

2.5 Gbps Smart Rate Ethernet port

Increase speed and minimize wired bottlenecks with a Smart Rate Ethernet port.

Indoor location ready

Built in GPS receivers and fine time measurement (FTM) enable APs to automatically locate themselves and serve as reference points for accurate client location.

Application assurance

HPE Aruba Networking Air Slice dynamically allocates and tunes radio resources to ensure application service levels and optimize the user experience.

Hardware variants
AP-615: Internal antenna models
Wi-Fi antennas
AP-615: Integrated downtilt omni-directional antennas for 2x2 MIMO with peak antenna gain of 2.8dBi in 2.4 GHz, 4.5dBi in 5 GHz and 4.5dBi in 6 GHz. Built-in antennas are optimized for horizontal ceiling mounted orientation of the AP. The downtilt angle for maximum gain is roughly 30 to 40 degrees.
  • Combining the patterns of each of the antennas of the MIMO radios, the peak gain of the combined, average pattern is 2.0dBi in 2.4 GHz, 3.5dBi in 5 GHz and 3.4dBi in 6 GHz.
Mounting details
A mounting bracket has been pre-installed on the back of the AP. This bracket is used to secure the AP to any of the mount kits (sold separately); see the 610 Series Ordering Guide for details.
Reliability
Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF): 540khrs (62yrs) at +25C operating temperature.
